Record decks and turntables have a very low voltage magnetic pick up at the stylus. Therefore the deck needs to be grounded using a standard stereo RCA lead with a built in ground cable. This eliminates mains hum and buzz that can be picked up from such a low level signal. Attach the spade ground connection to the earth terminal of your deck and the earth terminal of your mixer or amplifier.
